Illustration - Infographics - Following on from watching the fantastic BBC Frozen planet series, I was very excited to work on a personal project to show the effort and the commitment the crew went too.

CITG came to SJQ wanting a new identity and a company brochure. I started with gathering idea’s for their logo mark and general branding, looking at ideas of how to circulate the symbol of the cloud name.
I then developed an icon set and a secondary colour palette to compliment the new brand, using pastel like colours for an approachable and relaxed experience.
The end result was very well received by both the client and their new clients.

Identity + Branding
The Royal Veterinary College (informally the RVC) is a veterinary school located in London, United Kingdom and a constituent college of the federal University of London. The RVC was founded in 1791 and joined the University of London in 1949. It is the oldest and largest veterinary school in the United Kingdom
This brief was to create yet another exciting and engaging brochure for the CPD department of the RVC. Attending and directing the photoshoot, we helped to create the correct style of photography for the layouts.
The animals were a pleasure to work with, playing with their toys (so cute) and this shows in the final imagery.
Design wise, we went for a very clean, typographical approach. We big bold colours and a refreshing icon set, this CPD brochure has had the best reviews yet. The lovely uncoated stock and spot gloss on cover certainly helped its cause. Print run was over 10,000.
This was a project which was a joy to work on and a great reward with the great feedback from the high level vets from the RVC. Roll on next year!

Identity + Branding
Andrews began in the property business back in 1946. Since then, they’ve grown to become one of the UK’s leading residential and commercial property specialists in the South of England with over 80 branches now open.
This brief was to create a timeline to help celebrate the wonderful history Andrews have had, from having the first TV advert to helping charities throughout their history. It was important to create a story that would be interesting to the reader aswell as informative.
It was important to produce a style where it was approachable and friendly, so we pastel like colours to compliment this. The colour palette was designed to work well on uncoated stock and to develop future branding.
Other branding elements included flyers, facebook app, email campaigns, signage and direct mail.

Illustration
This was a personal project to develop my illustration and composition skills. Working within illustrator, I experimented with patterns and shape tweens. Inspiration for this project was quite random, I saw an advert for the Bank job TV series on C4 and went from there. Random!
I wanted to use a muted colour palette to compliment the current trend. It was so fun to work on and I hope to do more soon, feedback so far has been great!

Infographics
Thanks to Qufilms & NPS Films I had the opportunity to work on some performance and design statistics for the powerful and beautiful Porsche 911 Carrera S (2011)
My brief was to design statistics that looked engaging and complimented the stylish German super car.
I had to find a way to incorporate the highly recognisable Auto Trader logo and to make the figures speak for them self.
I developed the two stripes from the logo and played with opacity and blending options as I had to consider how the statistics would animate and compliment the footage, rather than distract it.
This project was great fun to work on and to see the footage with the interactive statistic was awesome.

Andrews began in the property business back in 1946. Since then, they’ve grown to become one of the UK’s leading residential and commercial property specialists in the South of England with over 80 branches now open.
This brief was to create the branding for their Open House weekend event, where proposed buyers can have an open visit to the sellers homes. I wanted to create an identity that pushed the creative boundaries of design and marketing as well as keeping it fun and engaging. The colour palette was designed to work well on uncoated stock and to develop future branding.
Other branding elements included flyers, facebook app, email campaigns, signage and direct mail.
The overall campaign was an success and this quote from the Marketing & Customer Services Director confirmed that.
“...many thanks for all your hard work helping to make the campaign such a success”

Emagazine
Bosch UK is part of the Bosch Group, a leading global supplier of technology and services which comprises Robert Bosch GmbH and its more than 350 subsidiaries and regional companies in over 60 countries. When taking into account Bosch Group’s sales and service partners, Bosch is represented in roughly 150 countries.
This Emagazine was designed to give potential customers as insight to how the Bosch Powertools work.
It included tips and DIY advice for the making your home enjoyable over the summer.
With it being an interactive magazine, we were able to use info tabs and animation to illustrate information, this made the spreads come alive (literally).
When designing the spreads, we had to consider the Bosch brand elements, such as their prominent Red & Green colours and Bosch Sans typeface. The magazine was very well received.

This brief was to create an engaging and informative DM piece which gave a brief intro to the recent projects MSIL had invested in. The colour palette, uncoated stock and high end photography helped make this piece successful.

SIM DLT is a leading Bristol based Editor with clients including FHM, Mens Fitness and Nuts.
The main objective for this project was to bring SIM DLT’s brand up to date. They wanted the design to look fresh, clean and inoffensive.
The tone of voice really had to stand alone and be the main attribute to the website. The clean 4 column grid really helped to achieve this.

I wanted to illustrate with stats and icons and develop my SJQ branding with the hexagons and the electric blue. I also wanted to include my favorite elements from my design year.
I have had a great year gaining new clients and working with existing ones. I have enjoyed joining the social media world, like dribbble & twitter etc... This has really helped me with inspiration, ideas and direction, So a BIG thank you! :)
My biggest achievement for me was the honorable mention from Behance prosite, I was thrilled to bits!

Infographics
Working with a US client, I worked on creating a fun and informative design layout for the popular facebook game, QUAKE.
The main part of the brief was to make the already completed illustrations interesting and visually attractive. An illustrator created the look and feel of the illustrations and I worked on the branding and layouts elements. I think it works well in its context with the rough cut typography and edgy pull out boxes.
I would also like to credit Tom Ovens (Designer) with the work completed for the social assets on this project.
